Where Are All the Eligible Men Anyway?

After a long day at work, Nancy decided to go to local swimming pool to relax a bit after her stressful day. There's a couple of reasonably attractive men there. She chats them up a bit, and discovers that both are already in relationships. Once again, Nancy goes home alone to fix supper for herself and go to bed. Nancy wants a family badly. Maybe it is time to widen the net...

Another Day, Another Simoleon

Today was Nancy's first day of work as an organ donor. It was okay. She needs to work on her mood and her logic skill in order to advance, so after work she went to the park. A little practice at the old chess board is in order. Not only did it give her a much needed logic skill point, but it was fun as well, improving her mood somewhat.

After chess, Nancy went home and made some goopy carbonara for dinner. It's her favorite dish, but unfortunately her stove is the least expensive available and did not cook it evenly. Negative mood effect. Oh well, time for bed. Tomorrow's another day at work...

Nancy's 1st Day of Life

Nancy began her life with a couple of wishes. She wanted to learn the cooking skill and take a cooking class. She also wanted to join the medical career for some strange reason. So we did those things for her right away. Then, I began to try to work on some more long term goals. She is a family oriented Sim, so I though maybe she should socialize a little in order to snag herself a guy. That did not go well. She introduced herself to 3 eligible looking men. The first was already in a relationship. I thought that breaking up a marriage might set the wrong tone for a Sim who's not going to ever get involved in any warped kind of life style. So we moved on to the next. He was single, but unfortunately insane and had commitment issues. Not a good choice for our little Nancy either. The third guy she talked to is actually the most promising, although he is employed as a criminal. Criminal does seem to be a valid career choice for Sims, but could Nancy find happiness with one? She gave up for the day and went home.

Nancy was pretty hungry when she arrived at her oh so humble abode. She also had a wish to prepare a meal, so that's what she did. Success! Nice quality mac and cheese. Plus now she has 2 cooking skill points so that she can prepare her favorite. Goopy carbonara - yum. Guess that will be on the menu tomorrow.
It's been a long day for little Nancy. Time for bed - all alone. Tomorrow is her first day of work - as an organ donor. Oh my...

Nancy Normal

Well, I started my new game. I created a Sim named Nancy Normal. I gave her the personality traits: good, family oriented, bookworm, natural cook and lucky. She is single and has no money to speak of. So, can I play an interesting game without falling into the black abyss of perversion. YES I CAN.

Introduction

I have been issued a challenge by my daughter to create and play a family of Sims through at least a generation. The tricky part is that my new Sim family must not be warped. She and I have been playing Sims for several years now, using Sims, Sims2 and now the new Sims3. She has pointed out that my Sims usually become very perverted very very quickly.

So, the question is: Can I play a game of Sims without any truly sick monkey business going on? Let's find out. This blog will be my proof - or at least it will when I figure out how to upload screen shots from the game that I will be creating NOW.
