Well, That's More Like It!
Nancy wakes up the next morning feeling not so great. She's in a bad mood because she didn't sleep well. Apparently the bed that came with her house is not very good, and she didn't have much fun yesterday. So, she buys a chess table and plays for a bit before work to brighten her mood.
After work, she stops by the park, still on the look out for eligible bachelors. She talks to two guys, both of whom turn out to be married. Then she starts playing chess with another guy who's last name is Bachelor. Surely, he's not married. Oh, yes he is... Well, it looks like it's time to go home alone again. At least when she gets home this time, she can get some new stuff. She buys a new better quality bed, and the best stove on the market. Yay.
Nancy had a good night's sleep and her good mood has paid off. She has been promoted to Bed Pan Cleaner at Sacred Spleen Memorial Hospital. Not quite sure how that's a good thing, but she seems happy. Now bookworm Nancy wants to visit the library.
Well, the library was an excellent idea, Nancy! Unlike the park, the library seems to be teeming with men. This one is even kinda cute, and seems quite friendly. AND he's single... They exchange the usual pleasantries, then Nancy works up her courage and attempts "flirt". Asshole - Connor Frio dislikes flirting. Crap, lets see who else is around...
There's another Frio man in the library, Jared. He's not quite as cute as Connor, at least not in that apron and cap. But with only 17 days left as a young adult, Nancy needs to give him a shot. Jared is actually not so bad when you get to know him. He's single (yay), and employed in the culinary arts industry. He's also a natural cook, like Nancy, so they have quite a bit to talk about. They trade kitchen secrets, and Jared even gives Nancy a new recipe. This fulfills a wish of hers and bumps her reward points up enough so that she is now observant. Not sure that that's a good thing, because observant Nancy discovers that Jared is a heavy-sleeping, inappropriate party animal. But they keep talking and become friends. Jared is Nancy's very first friend, so Nancy decides to go for broke and flirt with him. Jared responds positively, they talk a little more, and when it's time to go home, they hug goodbye. Maybe things are looking up for family oriented Nancy.
